Mary Thompson is a photographer and documents issues of a social and political nature in series of images that she cares about. Its often easier for people to see the issues through visual imagery than through the written word.
What does a typical day in the studio look like for you?
Usually I come to the studio to upload images from my camera and chose the strongest series from the project I’m working on. Sometimes I will submit for an exhibition, photo book or competition. Other times it could be to update the images on my website.
What’s your biggest creative achievement?
Having women’s protest images selected on two consecutive years as part in International Women’s History Month.
